The Kata Tjuta sunset area has a large car park with designated parking spaces. The viewing area is accessed via a wide hard packed gravel path. The viewing area is large giving good access to the stunning sunset colour changes. The car park has the only accessible toilet facilities at Kata Tjuta. While the Walpa Gorge walk and the Valley of the winds are not accessible walks, the drive to the Valley of the Winds gives a great view and appreciation of the rock formations that make up Kata Tjuta. A short walk to the first shelter at the Walpa Gorge gives a good view of the gorge and is a class 1 all access trail.
